Ethereal Bloom is a block added by the Thaumcraft 4 mod. It does not generate in the world, but can be created from Shimmerleaf. It is able to combat Tainted Lands and the tainted plants and creatures in the radius of 8 blocks in all direction. It cannot remove the Tainted Lands biome itself though, as the biome depends on the Aura Nodes in the area. But it can remove Magical Forest biome, so be careful when using these plants in this biome. This plant emits light and particles and drops itself when broken.

"Shimmerleaf is often overshadowed by its mystical neighbor the Silverwood tree, but it has magical properties of its own.
Like the Silverwood, Shimmerleaf flowers have purifying properties that lie dormant. You have found a way to awaken these properties and turn it into an Ethereal Bloom.
Ethereal blooms slowly, but surely, restores land corrupted by mystical means to its former glory - this includes the blight known as Taint. While it cannot combat Taint directly, few tainted growths can survive outside their native environment for long and tend to die back.
The flower only purifies the land bathed in its light out to a range of about 8 blocks."
Recipe[edit]
- To unlock the research, player must scan an item with aspect. Not all items will do, but Bucket of Sludge can be scanned.
