Umm... did something happen to the forums site? . ƒelinoel_ 00:23, 20 March 2013 (CET)
- No, but my DNS server was acting up earlier. Try clearing your DNS cache. RZR0 (talk) 00:38, 20 March 2013 (CET)

I've restored the correct settings from my secondary DNS server now. RZR0 (talk) 02:07, 20 March 2013 (CET)

Did something happen to the forums? I try to go to the pages there and it either redirects to the wiki or says the page doesn't exist.

Hey, I saw that you reuploaded a bunch of the images that I uploaded last night, but I can't see any differences in the new version. Could you tell me what I did wrong so I can make better pictures next time? - Koriar (talk) 17:12, 14 April 2013 (CEST)

- Hey, and welcome! The images have to be stored in png format and have a transparent background, which means that the alpha channel for all pixels that don't belong to the block/item has to be 0. The specifications for the images should be in the style guide. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 23:29, 5 July 2013 (CEST)

Iridium Images[edit]
I've noticed the Iridium images and pages have different naming conventions. Most notably, "Iridium Ore", the page leads to the Item, but the image is that of the Block. Then there's the pages which use the Item vs Block distinction, and the images use the mod name (the block comes from GregTech, the ore comes from IC2). I just wanted to run it by someone else. My thoughts are maybe to go with the Item/Block distinction over the mod, since more people are familiar with that. Once we've got the naming convention cleaned up, my next plan is to add some descriptions and images to the Iridium disambig page, like I did with the Wrench disambig page. --Kahless61 (talk) 20:20, 1 May 2013 (CEST)
- I've been meaning to change that. The ores are from different mods, so in that case there should be a distinction between the mods, rather than the type. Feel free to change it. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 20:23, 1 May 2013 (CEST)
- Thanks. Could you double check the images to make sure they follow the right naming convention? I'm not very familiar with that convention, and it looks like I'll be updating pages to reflect the redirect for a little while. --Kahless61 (talk) 20:30, 1 May 2013 (CEST)
- I've completed updating the pages and moved an image or two where needed so that we didn't get incorrect images or broken links. Some cleanup may still be required, but that's beyond the scope of my understanding of wiki software and policy. At any rate, I'm happy with the results. --Kahless61 (talk) 21:51, 1 May 2013 (CEST)
- Had a quick look, seems to be fine. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 22:43, 1 May 2013 (CEST)
Permissions[edit]
Hi Freddy,
recently I have found some pages that can be removed, for example this:
http://ftbwiki.org/index.php?title=Mercury_Cells&redirect=no
(it's not been referenced anymore)
Also I would help you to delete that spam pages, and not only remove the text.
Do I have (as a contributer) the permissions for deleting pages and just haven't found the button? Thanks for a reply.
Have a nice day, Felix
- You should have those permissions, yes, it should be on the top right side of the page, somewhere under the news button. I'll delete that page for you. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 12:35, 29 May 2013 (CEST)
Hi Freddy, how can I block spam contributors? For example, the last of this breed: http://ftbwiki.org/index.php?title=BronyModPack&diff=75467&oldid=75465 Do I have no permissions for this? User:Thaxllssillyia

Missing/Corrupted Pics[edit]
Hi, I found some pages where the pics are corrupted. I'll post it here, because I don't have the pics.
http://ftbwiki.org/Dirt http://ftbwiki.org/Emerald_Dust http://ftbwiki.org/Empty_Cell
Is it ok if I'm going to create more links here?
- Those pictures are missing (as in, have not yet been uploaded), not corrupted. And there's no need to list them, they should all already appear in Category:Pages with broken file links. --timrem (talk) 16:27, 29 May 2013 (CEST)
- sometimes people also just use the wrong names in recipes, the items are case sensitive. Some also have a slightly altered name for disambiguation. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 16:56, 29 May 2013 (CEST)

ItemRenderer question(s)[edit]
Hey, I was wondering how the whole ItemRenderer thing works to generate images with a transparent background. I heard something about that being used to generate item/block/grid images that require a transparent background, and I was wondering how that worked. Whenever I tried to use the ItemRenderer in Mindcrack Pack, it crashed my game, more often than not (possibly because of the presence of OptiFine, I'm not sure) and I couldn't find reference to it in the Ultimate Pack either in the Controls menu or in the Extra Bees configuration files. Is re-enabling of the ItemRenderer (if it's required for Ultimate Pack) and then utilizing it a simple task (and if so, how to do so?), or does it require modifying code etc? DigitallyApocalyptic (talk) 16:35, 4 July 2013 (CEST)
- At the moment the itemrenderer is no longer working correctly, I still have to have a look at that. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 16:44, 4 July 2013 (CEST)

- I guess, but when it was standardized that way and also now, I've voiced out against it this way. =b . ƒelinoel_ 06:54, 19 August 2013 (CEST)
Berry Bush[edit]
Just noticed you deleted the Berry Bush page that I worked hard on writing up and now I can't find where it's been split to. I see Oreberry Bush, but I don't see the pages for the other kinds of berries, and Oreberry Bush still links to Berry Bush, which is now a deadlink. --Kahless61 (talk) 16:03, 23 August 2013 (CEST)
- The page said they were from Tinkers' Construct, but they aren't, just the ore berries. The other bushes are added by Natura, they should all have an individual page. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 16:05, 23 August 2013 (CEST)
- I see your point, but I don't think just because some of them were labeled with the wrong mod, that would justify deletion of the page. I think it's a useful page as it shows how berries/berry bushes function in general. --Kahless61 (talk) 16:10, 23 August 2013 (CEST)
- I've already restored the page and amde some changes. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 16:13, 23 August 2013 (CEST)

WOW - Comment pages[edit]
So here I was, deleting the comment pages. I left for a couple hours, and came back to see that they were all wiped out. All 3k+ of them! Did you find a way to mass remove them, or did you have an army helping you? AQiccl135 (talk) 22:55, 23 August 2013 (CEST)
- I temporarily installed the Nuke extension to mass delete pages using wildcards. The extension removes pages listed in the recent changes though. Those last only 90 days, so I had to extend those up to a year first and rebuild them, before it would actually match pages. Everything is back to the original state now. Well, minus a couple of comment pages. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 23:30, 23 August 2013 (CEST)

Nobreak issues?[edit]
I noticed you changed some of the crafting recipes in the Metal Post page to have the "nobreak" parameter enabled. I initially set it up that was as well but on my computer I see this. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/83022601/NoBreak.png Basically I'm asking is if this is just me, and if so is there any way to make nobreak more consistent so I can see what I'm doing to everyone else's pages? :p Celestial Oblivion (talk) 04:39, 18 October 2013 (CEST)
- That's probably because you have a "small" screen resolution? For me it displays nicely in a block. Though at that size, technically it's the correct display you have, though obviously it doesn't look that great. I'm not sure how to go about improving that. I'm not a web designer. But I'll try to look into it. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 04:58, 18 October 2013 (CEST)
- Well I do use a laptop, but its actually kind of large for one. 1366x768 is one of the most common screen resolutions on the internet apparently. I've done a bit of website work, the most obvious thing I can think of would be to either increase the width of the main div to ensure it can fit two crafting grids and the item bar, or use media queries to handle resolution that cause these sorts of issues.Celestial Oblivion (talk) 05:23, 18 October 2013 (CEST)
About Template:Expand_section[edit]
You do realize that a stub is different from an article in need of expansion, right? I don't understand why you deleted it.
Stubs are short pages that need expansion. Articles that need to be expanded can be established articles, but are not necessarily short. They just need more detail. -Teamvista (talk) 19:45, 5 November 2013 (CET)
- Hi there, I'm aware of the difference, but the message shown by the template is pretty much the same. I'm somewhat unsure if there's really a need to create the additional template. Of course, if you think there is, that's fine for me. Would you like me to restore the page? RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 19:51, 5 November 2013 (CET)
- It would be nice if you could have it use the same stile like the stub message actually. Just to be consistent. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 01:33, 6 November 2013 (CET)
- Let me just interject here. The style on Wikipedia is that the ambox template be used for Expand_X. I want to keep at least some distinguishing factor from the stub template. If you would still like me to use the stub layout, that's fine too.
- The Outdated template links to nothing...are you talking about the same one (outdated)?
- Regarding amboxes - I believe tables with
class="atemplate"
are the replacement for them, and they are used for all hatnotes so far. I see no reason to switch to amboxes - but if we do, we have to change all the templates to use amboxes, and maybe tweak the colors to match the style of the wiki skin. --dgelessus (talk · contribs) 09:08, 6 November 2013 (CET)
Oak Planks[edit]
I recently noticed you removed my redirects for the Oak Planks pages, saying they refer to seperate Gregtech items.
However, I just checked in Unhinged 1.1.0, and I do not see an item added by Gregtech called Oak Planks(or any of the other planks).
Are these pages supposed to refer to the changes to vanilla in Gregtech, or are they a separate item? If the former is the case(it simply refers to recipe changes), there should simply be a single page on the wiki dedicated to these vanilla recipe changes, or the existing Wood Planks page on the wiki should be edited to instruct on the changes. If the latter is the case, please tell me their item IDs so I can look up their recipes and uses and create their proper pages on the wiki.
MasterEric(Talk|Contributions) 21:43, 17 January 2014 (CET)
- The items are not in MC1.5 versions of MC, they're from newer builds of GregTech. They're separate items. Keep in mind that the name is "Oak Plank", not "Oak Planks" like vanilla. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 21:46, 17 January 2014 (CET)

Essentially what it does it just replace most of the manual labor in capturing, processing, saving and uploading the image. But it doesn't interact with Minecraft directly. Question[edit]
Hi again! I wasn't sure where to ask this or who to ask, so I thought to ask you since you've helped me before. :) Sometimes a mod has an item that no other mod currently has, and then another mod adds an item with the same name and it takes a bit to change all the articles about the item from the first mod that added to item(whatever mod). So I thought maybe it would be a good idea to start ALL new item articles with the name of the mod that adds them just in case. JonathanHopeThisIsUnique (talk) 22:38, 9 March 2014 (CET)
- Hey, this is actually an idea I came up with myself about a year back, but the idea got rejected by a majority vote. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 22:59, 9 March 2014 (CET)

Regarding your message[edit]
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't see linking to a playlist as advertising. I will obviously have to stop doing that if other contributors complain. While it is true that I have only just started on this wiki, all I'm doing is filling in the gaps. I saw that there was no tutorial video there and so I made one. It's something I've done before for other mods and it was appreciated, so I'm rather disappointed in the people here. If I decide to contribute to this wiki again, I will make sure to read the style guide. Thank you for your feedback. - SparkVGX(talk)
- Hi, I'm sorry if you feel disappointed. Linking to a playlist is completely out of the question, this is purely advertising and will never be allowed. We have rules in place to ensure the quality of the content on the wiki as much as possible. Everyone has to follow these rules, with no exceptions. Though it is current not technically forbidden to add videos if you have not contributed any other content. It is frowned upon and will likely be automatically prevented in the near future. I hope you can understand these policies and won't be discouraged to contribute by them. RZR0 ( Talk | Contributions) 11:11, 3 April 2014 (CEST)

Hello rzro, I couldn't help but notice that you have reverted all of my recent edits without leaving any explanation whatsoever. May I ask why? —Preceding unsigned comment added by QuantitativeMedia (talk · contribs) at 14:28, 30 April 2014
- Hey, not RZR0, but maybe this can help. For some reason the first video breaks after you've added the second one, it's most probably because of the wrong formatting. The videos themselves are nice, I am fine with them :3 -- OstPavel (talk • contributions) 14:35, 30 April 2014 (CEST)

- Hi, most of your edits so far have broken pages as well as often not conforming to the rules laid out in the style guide. There's the fact that just placing videos on the wiki without any contributions to the written content, is highly frowned upon. This wiki is not an advertisement platform. You are free to post videos, but if you continue to make edits solely for this purpose ans especially further ignoring the style guide, your edits will be reverted. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 14:54, 30 April 2014 (CEST)

New Heading[edit]
Hi again! I just noticed that the heading for some pages is ATL Wiki .net The unofficial ATLauncher wiki instead of FTB. Even the little cubes that had FTB in them now have ATL instead. And instead of the cubes being Blue, Green, Red, they are now Green, Light Blue, Dark Gray. Is this showing for other people/ is it supposed to be like this? I'm kind of worried something isn't working right since I didn't hear anything about this change before. One the pages that this happened too is the main page, although this page didn't change. (In case that might be important.) JonathanHopeThisIsUnique (talk) 15:19, 10 May 2014 (CEST)

Random Image File[edit]
In the process of putting together a nav template for Engineer's Toolbox, I found one random file that doesn't seem to fit anywhere. Featureds[edit]
When the featuring system was first proposed people wanted to be able to identify what something was featured as which was why I used the FV, FA, and FM icons. . ƒelinoel_ 21:36, 20 May 2014 (CEST)

Mob Health, Armor and Damage icons[edit]
I was working on some modifications to the Mob template and I'm trying to implement the health and armor indicators automatically. I found a icon but I can't find the same for armor. The minecraft wiki has one that seems to be from Mojang [1]. Forms?[edit]
Hi RZR0, thanks for the promotion. As SMW is in here, is the use/creation of forms for templates allowed/preferred?
-- Ciannicay (talk) 01:53, 26 September 2014 (CEST)
- As far as I know we don't have the Semantic Forms extension installed here, if you check Special:Version only the base SMW is listed. It would make a nice addition though. As you seem to have some experience with it, do you know if it could be used to insert multiple instances of the same template, e. g. ? --dgelessus (talk · contribs) 09:22, 26 September 2014 (CEST)
- Could you give an example of what it could be useful for? ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 12:27, 26 September 2014 (CEST)
- Anything that needs to be automated? We could completely remake our bees template with it, we could restructure our site based on the modpack the viewer has chosen...
- Could you give an example of what it could be useful for? ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 12:27, 26 September 2014 (CEST)
- ... actually that right there has me interested in it. With SMW we could set up every article in a way so that if the viewer has Agrarian Skies v2.1 selected they will be able to peruse the wiki like normal but the article on dirt will include a recipe that says you can make dirt while if the viewer has FTB Tech World v42 selected the article of dirt will not include that information. . ƒelinoel_ 19:18, 26 September 2014 (CEST)
- Bee stuff is already possible with base SMW, forms aren't necessary for that. Though I don't understand how SMW is supposed to help with the modpack-dependant display situation... if at all that might be feasible with records, which I haven't dared to use yet :P --dgelessus (talk · contribs) 19:31, 26 September 2014 (CEST)
- Keep in mind my knowledge of such things is limited to what Wikipedia tells me as I am just a graphic artist. =b . ƒelinoel_ 19:45, 26 September 2014 (CEST)
- @dgelessus: Yes multiple instances of one and the same template in a page are usable and its easy to do so.
@RZR0: It is only an other method for structured input. It can even be used as an alternative to the normal editing without anyone noticing its presence. All the grids could have a form where you can select which item is used by entering it's name in an autocompletition field. One could even generate/create input forms for (nearly) all templates that need structured input. Multiple template usages e.g. normal and gregtech versions are a pro, too. One of the benefits of using forms and templates is the possibility to do reverse searches - e.g. list all known recipes that use a certain item (this is possible even without forms) or list all recipies that are done in a certain grid. But this would require the use of properties etc. It can be made as complex as one wants but everything still works without it if it's done right.
@felinoel: That pack and even a version dependent view would be possible but not easy to realize. First: an agreed kind of data structure for making it possible would be needed. Second: Most of the pages possible would need a rework or being touched for the structure to be filled (depends on the depth of changes) and Third: Contributing would either get more complex or might afford more maintenance work cause the structure must be present for these things to work properly.
-- Ciannicay (talk) 22:09, 26 September 2014 (CEST)- I KNEW I was understanding the concept right, lol. Yes it would take some time and effort to realize, but I figure once we have everything in place we could redesign the editing structure so that a GUI with options are visible so that the editor can be sure that their edits only affect specific versions and there should be a generic page available to packs that are not coded yet on that article of course. . ƒelinoel_ 22:39, 26 September 2014 (CEST)
- I did some testing on my private systems and i have to correct my statement somewhat: It is theoretically possible. BUT - unless you get some methods/addons to safe the info which version/modpack the user is looking for - very hard to achieve. The Wiki is stateless, thus you would need to make the pack/version info somehow persistent AND probably force the user to register/login for the function to work. Such thing is not advisible on an open and userdriven site like this.
At work i dont have these "problems" as we have autosignin and additional userbased magic words in the wiki. My answer was too biased on those facts, sorry.
-- Ciannicay (talk) 11:16, 29 September 2014 (CEST)- Semantic Forms is available now btw. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 12:33, 29 September 2014 (CEST)

Since mod links now have the ModLink
template with mod names module support, I think it might be a good idea to make navigation templates to work the same way if it's even possible. It will simplify navboxes addition and allow to get rid of all templates with redirections to actual ones since they are not in favor anyway. Item vs Component - MPS and MPSaddons[edit]
I noticed you changed the Magnet name to (Item), was just about to change it to: (MPSaddons - Component) - I don't remember for sure where I pick-up the term Component for MPS Items, but I was doing my best to have consistency of terminology and Component made sense since they're not used in hand or in crafting as Items are, but strictly to install Modules in the Tinker Table, thus differentiating them from Items, but I'll go with what you feel is best and used Item if you want. Please let me know. Thanks
PS. Sorry I screwed up the ID names for MPSaddons, I thought that's what those were... duh--JC the Techie (talk) 02:11, 27 July 2015 (CEST)
- There are no specific rules for disambiguation, but there are common practices, I try to stay consistent with those. Unless there's clashes with other mods, we use disambiguation terms such as Item or Block where needed. This is a unique situation as the modules are neither items or blocks, but the same rules can be applied. Using Module for the module is fine, but Component for the item isn't as Component is more of a description or classification than a type. As for the id names, I'm not sure what happened there, but it's fine, id names were only just properly introduced in MC 1.7.10. Given that you're on 1.6.4 with Tekkit, it's not easy to obtain them. If you don't know what they are, feel free to leave them out. They can easily be added in later. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 10:57, 27 July 2015 (CEST)
- The MPSaddons Module names don't [render] correctly and show up like that e.g. (module.autoFeeder.name) in the Tinker Table, so I thought it was showing the ID name, my bad, should have asked... I will go through and fix that and the component thing - any suggestion as what to use for the title? (instead of Component - I didn't like 'Recipe' as it's not crafting) I'm thinking 'Installation' or 'Module Installation' - Thanks--JC the Techie (talk) 01:23, 28 July 2015 (CEST)
- Those are just the unlocalized names. They're essentially internal names which the localization system changes into the appropriate name for each supported language. I'm not entirely sure what you're asking with that last part. +Use what for which title? Can you give an example? (And maybe explain why it's needed?) ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 01:27, 28 July 2015 (CEST)
- Sorry, it's for the Modular Powersuits series the title where I used 'Component' to refer to the items needed to install Modules, I'll change that to 'Module Installation' and use 'Item' instead of 'Component' no worries - Also if that's ok with you, I would name the Item 'Magnet (MPSaddons) and the Module 'Magnet (Module - MPSaddons) for consistency in naming--JC the Techie (talk)

Hey again! I am using Infusion_Altar_TC4 grid A LOT, and the current background image ( TC4_Infusion_Horisontal.png ) kinda gets on my nerves any time I see it. - I'm aware of that. But I thought I corrected that everywhere... I guess I missed some then... ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 10:55, 20 March 2016 (CET)
- I can't seem to find any way to get the following item in the game: Paving Slab of Travel, Paving Stair of Travel and Warded Slab. The rest is done. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 22:57, 19 March 2016 (CET)
Infusion Altar TC4 Grid[edit]
First, I have added the output amount so now the recipes from Thaumic Tinkerer 2 will be correct. Havent done it before because no other mods I have worked on had other than 1 output item.
Next, Instability is scaled this way:
0 for Negligible
1 for Minor
2 for Moderate
3 for High
4 for Very High
5 for Dangerous
There is no 7 or 9 Instability, although these values may appear in code, I have made this part of the grid logical.
Finally, you have told that will fix the background image at weekend. I think it is good time to remind. If you dont have time for this at this weekend, dont worry, I can wait. --Antillar (talk) 13:04, 20 March 2016 (CET)
- Yes, I'm always quite busy, I haven't forgotten about the textures though. As for instability... I pull the values directly from the game, I don't know what scale they're on or whatever, that's just how they're listed in the game. I think it's important to retain that original scale. But I'll look into how that's handled. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 14:08, 20 March 2016 (CET)
- Well, I don't have the tools you have to see the parameters directly from the game. I see how they are shown in Thaumonomicon, and there is no integer value, just a word. I will look in code how it is done, but I dont think I will find anything because of the obfuscated functions being difficult to track. --Antillar (talk) 14:19, 20 March 2016 (CET)
-
Math.min(5, instability / 2)
=> It's capped in the code at 5, if the value is higher, it should just be capped at 5 for dangerous. So I'll just add that into the wiki template then. The value from the code is divided by 2 though, that's important to keep in mind. I'll change the wiki template and update all the recipes. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 14:26, 20 March 2016 (CET)- Ok, I will keep that in mind when creating new pages. Thanks for information --Antillar (talk) 14:48, 20 March 2016 (CET)
- I have added some more stubs for missing pages. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 14:59, 20 March 2016 (CET)
- Thank you, I really appreciate this. Also, how am I supposed to see Instability ingame if what I see is (Instability div 2) ? I searched through configs and didnt find anything special. So, if there is no way, I will have to search each value in code, which will slow down the proccess. --Antillar (talk) 20:25, 20 March 2016 (CET)

Strange code in the end of articles[edit]
I have seen you added some things like: http://pastebin.com/Yqa8cFWd (this particular code is supposed to appear at Bottomless Pouch page) to the end of many articles. I feel like it has something to do with the aspects we have discussed earlier. Can you please explain to me how this is supposed to work and if this works now? --Antillar (talk) 21:57, 21 March 2016 (CET)
- It registers the aspects stored in the items in the SMW system. Right now it doesn't track the amounts, but I add them in in case we want to use them in the future. The aspects can be seen here: Property:Has_Thaumcraft_4_aspect. And for example, these are all items that are registered to contain Aer: Special:SearchByProperty/Has-20Thaumcraft-204-20aspect/aer. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 22:01, 21 March 2016 (CET)
- Check out my sandbox for an example of how this can be used. (Though we have to make templates for those functionalities first) ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 23:45, 21 March 2016 (CET)
- I've created templates now to handle the information and also support for the amounts of the aspects. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 01:13, 22 March 2016 (CET)
- I have just checked and proven that the aspect amount is capped on 6, so the game will take only 6 aspects with highest value and remove the others from the item. I have tested this on Ichorium Pickaxe you have on your test page. In case of Ichorium pick, it only has 38 ignis, 31 aer, 31 ordo, 30 terra 30 aqua 30 perditio, so you can see that all the top aspects are safe. But Praecant is not present in this pick, I have checked it in Thaumometer, in the small notes right at the screen and in research table, where there was no praecant change. The script tells that there should be 20 praecant present. And it is cut because it only takes 7th place by value, and, as I have mentioned earlier, only 6 top places are saved. --Antillar (talk) 15:25, 22 March 2016 (CET)
- I can probably modify the templates to only show the ones with the 6 highest values. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 15:29, 22 March 2016 (CET)
- Yes, that should be the easiest option. I believe Azanor did this to prevent gaining like 100 of all aspects from compound stuff from f.e. Draconic Evolution --Antillar (talk) 15:34, 22 March 2016 (CET)
- I've gone ahead and just update al of the pages to just add the 6 most common aspects, because filtering them would be quite a lot fo work for the server. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 19:26, 22 March 2016 (CET)
- I have encountered something strange today: Awakened Ichorium Axe only has 5 instrumentum. Only that. Following my logic, it should have all primal aspects in amount of 20+, but it only has instrumentum on it. This really bugs me out. I have no idea how to solve this issue automatically. It seems for me that some items have custom set of aspects, that does not follow the overall logic. I tried to use your new template for aspects containing in the item, but even after updating the page and removing from the end everything excapt instrumentum, which is the only correct there, the template kept showing all 10+ aspects. I feel like this template is better to replace that collapsible wikitable with aspects, which takes place there now. But for this we need to optimise it maximally.
- So, as I can manually track what aspects are in the items and what are not (in fact, I know aspects of every item by heart), I wanted to check the hidden lines in the end and removing wrong ones before posting the page. Will this work for all the templates and so on? If yes, then tomorrow I will once again go through all existing pages and remove those which are not correct. --Antillar (talk) 21:46, 22 March 2016 (CET)
- Also, what you have done will definately work for all the content which can possibly have aspects except 3 mods: Thaumcraft itself, Thaumic Tinkerer and one addon which is not yet present here. So in most of the cases it is correct. But to be really sure Thaumometer has to be used on every item, and its decision is final :D Well, nothing too difficult for me. As mentioned above, tomorrow I will scan all the things from those 3 addons we have to find a few differences. And then to replace that misleading wikitable with your grid.--Antillar (talk) 21:52, 22 March 2016 (CET)
- You can't just change the data values in previous to check if the template changes, it only changes when saved after the changes propagate though the system, it's not instant. As for the aspects I list, I pull them from the game exactly how Thaumcraft does for the Thaumometer and such, so they should be correct. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 22:04, 22 March 2016 (CET)
- Also I checked and I don't just get Instrumentum with my Thaumometer. I made a screenshot. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 22:12, 22 March 2016 (CET)
- link well lol. What version of TT you got? --Antillar (talk) 16:57, 23 March 2016 (CET)

I'm not sure if there is an error because I'm still new to editing wiki pages. --Rockinkiku (talk) 21:17, 28 March 2016 (CEST)
- It's probably just an outdated cached version somewhere. Try pressing the "Refresh" button under the Style Guide button and if that doesn't work, try Ctr+F5 to purge the page from your browser cache. Magneticraft[edit]
Thanks for the help with the Magneticraft pages I created. This is my 1st time creating new content and I was trying to follow the guidelines/rules/copy existing pages, but it looks like you helped out some and added a bunch of images. Thanks! --Kollins (talk) 14:56, 1 April 2016 (CEST)
- Hey, welcome and thanks for contributing! I'll help out where I can. There's a bit of a learning curve to editing, but I think you've been doing a great job so far! ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 15:03, 1 April 2016 (CEST)
- I noticed you renamed the Magneticraft Battery item to Sulfuric Acid Battery in the navbox. In my modpack (Bevo Tech Pack Reborn, Magneticraft 0.6.1-final) both the Battery (Magneticraft) block and the Battery item, which is a bigger version of the Small Battery are simply named Battery. I had thought the proper name would be Battery_Item to distinguish it from the block and didn't see any reference in the mod jar to sulfuric acid battery. Can you clarify? Thanks! --Kollins (talk) 11:50, 7 April 2016 (CEST)
- I also think I messed up the MC Heater because you had images added under Heater but the Heater page had been deleted, and I couldn't find an item just called Heater in a couple modpacks so I created the page as Heater but the images are wrong and File:Grid Heater.png has a ton of references. --Kollins (talk) 11:56, 7 April 2016 (CEST)
- Hey, I'm on vacation right now, I'll be back on Sunday, but the problem seems to be solved. Let me know if there's anything else you need help with. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 22:40, 8 April 2016 (CEST)
- Yeah, no worries with the Heater - I took care of the situation. Wasn't anything difficult at all, just moved a page and 2 files to a proper namespace :) -- OstPavel (talk • contributions) 23:07, 8 April 2016 (CEST)

- I have a couple final Magneticraft things I may need your help on. I created a crafting grid for the Polymerizer, and was going to add hard coded text to with the name polymerizer and 500mB under Natural gas, since all recipes use 500mB, but wasn't sure what font to use. I wasn't sure how to fix the image on the Fluid Tank since it has an image from another mod, if I replace the file, will it break other pages? I also notice you renamed the navbox link to the bigger battery item to Sulfuric Acid Battery but when I looked inside magneticraft-0.6.1-final.jar it is referenced with just the name Battery; Since this is the same name as the Battery block, the Style Guide says there should be Battery (Block) and Battery (Item) but would that be Battery (Magneticraft) (Item) or a different name? Thanks again for all the help! --Kollins (talk) 13:52, 12 April 2016 (CEST)
- I will look into the template over the weekend. The font is called "minecraftia". In-game the item is named "Sulfuric Acid Battery" as far as I can tell. I am also using version 0.6.1. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 14:53, 12 April 2016 (CEST)
- I found the font and fixed the Polymerizer GUI. I'm using BTP Reborn and I get just Battery, which is also how it looks inside the .jar; Is there a customization in the modpack you're using that changed it? I downloaded magneticraft-0.6.1-final.jar from Magneticraft's github page, extracted it in a directory and found nothing referencing Sulfuric Acid Battery but did find the .class files for the Small Battery and Battery items. --Kollins (talk) 17:15, 12 April 2016 (CEST)

Thaumcraft 4 Textures[edit]
Well, you know what I need now :D Spent 5h in a row on just navbox. Well, the mod deserves it. --Antillar (talk) 21:25, 2 April 2016 (CEST)

- P.S. I have tried to compile ProjectFluxGear and failed. It sayes for me: Could not create ZIP (compiled mod). I have allowed everything for this folder but it still has this issue. What should I do? --Antillar (talk) 22:48, 2 April 2016 (CEST)
- I will look into it. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 00:24, 3 April 2016 (CEST)
- I've done some of the textures already, but my tablet really isn't that well suited for the job. I also seem to be missing many of the Eldritch blocks in NEI? Will have another look tonight. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 17:39, 3 April 2016 (CEST)
- Yes, these blocks cannot be obtained by regular means so they are hidden in NEI. They have something special for the gameplay so they should have an article. I suggest you first toggle cheat sheet in Thaumcraft config, then use it ingame, find an eldritch portal, right-click the pedestal with Eldritch Eye 4 times then click the node with any wand. You will get to the Eldritch dimension and you will be able to find all these blocks easily. Also, what about ProjectFluxGear? I think it is very complex mod, so it may add many recipes to thaumcraft stuff, so better to have it installed now than to go to all pages and add stuff manually. (as I did to Air Infused Stone). You are allowed to place compiled version of the mod in modpack and redistribute modpacks with it, so please build a simple modpack with only this mod installed, so I can download it and use the mod in my own modpack I have built for thaum contributions. --Antillar (talk) 18:03, 3 April 2016 (CEST)
- I have screened Thaumcraft mobs, can you please process these photos so they fit the infobox? I don't know if you have any special tools for doing mobs, so this is the best I could came up with, hope this helps. The mobs shown in the order their spawn eggs are positioned in the NEI. Some have several pictures because it was hard to make a normal photo of them. --Antillar (talk) 19:20, 3 April 2016 (CEST)
- I have uploaded images for everything (which has an image in inventory). We don't actually use iamges for mobs in infoboxes. With the exception of Template:Navbox/MineFactory_Reloaded. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 02:55, 4 April 2016 (CEST)

Usage Bug[edit]
In this page usage shows some items twice. Can you please include smth like "pragma once" in this function? --Antillar (talk) 18:09, 30 April 2016 (CEST)
- I'm aware of the issue, but thus far I haven't found exactly what causes it. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 21:04, 30 April 2016 (CEST)

Construction template suggestion[edit]
Can you please add components of the Template:Layer... template to recipe subobjects or smth so the result will show up in the usage part of its components? --Antillar (talk) 16:48, 4 May 2016 (CEST)
- It doesn't technically have an output... ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 23:47, 4 May 2016 (CEST)
- Maybe let the output be the link on the structure layout itself, which can be configured? --Antillar (talk) 19:08, 5 May 2016 (CEST)
- I'll look into it when I have more time on my hands. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 23:28, 5 May 2016 (CEST)

Usage Bug[edit]
When the item name to be displayed in Usage part is rather long, the second line of the text is cut and is displayed on the right where the next item is supposed to be. The example can be viewed here. --Antillar (talk) 17:56, 12 May 2016 (CEST)
- Yes, I have also noticed this, though it doesn't happen there it seems? I'm not sure sure yet how to fix it though. But it's fairly low priority since it only occurs for a few pages. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 00:08, 13 May 2016 (CEST)
- I had a brief look on my pages already done, and due to disambiguation the new name is long enough for this problem to happen. More than a hundred pages in my mod more or less have this problem now. --Antillar (talk) 22:35, 29 May 2016 (CEST)
- Fixed the bug by adjusting column width. This will spread the columns a bit on custom css files, default one didn't change. --Antillar (talk) 23:37, 11 June 2016 (CEST)
- I have rolled back the change, because it changes the width everywhere, so it is no longer possible to fit 3 columns on the page.
- I have tested on Gold Ingot and it seemed fine. Well, not going to argue about this, that is the drawback of columns style in general, which can't be adjusted by any other means. I will deeply edit my custom css file then to fix this problem on my side. --Antillar (talk) 00:29, 12 June 2016 (CEST)
- You probably did not purge the page first, which means that the inline css you changed did not update on that page. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 00:32, 12 June 2016 (CEST)
- You can see in Recent changes that I have done many edits with all configurations. I think that the problem was in the names items in Gold Ingot usage part in the last column being short enough to fit the space for them. Anyway, I am not going to mess with that template again, because I found during my tests that the problem only appears if the twitter and other useless part on the right is removed. I am not sure, but I think that not many readers of the wiki have these parts disabled, as only admins can edit custom css files and not all of them have taken advantage. --Antillar (talk) 00:40, 12 June 2016 (CEST)
- This is how it looked for me:

- Yes, but that's not the default template, that's with your personal css changes still applied, which makes the page a lot wider. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 00:49, 12 June 2016 (CEST)
MineBot Suggestions[edit]

- Research by Aspect and Research ----------> Research (Thaumcraft 4)
- if (pagename contains (Thaumcraft 4) or (Thaumcraft 3) or (Thaumic Tinkerer 1) or (Thaumic Tinkerer 2) ) insert "|name = pagename_without_these_disambigs" lets say on line 2 of the article code.
--Antillar (talk) 22:26, 16 May 2016 (CEST)
- MineBot si granting your first and last requests, though the last one on a slightly larger scale (for all mods). I'll have to look into the second one as I believe this particular line was handles in more ways than you've listed here. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 16:36, 18 May 2016 (CEST)
- Thinking of the second one, the Research will look better than what I have written before. --Antillar (talk) 22:05, 18 May 2016 (CEST)
- The current default is "Thaumcraft 4 Research Notes". You'd like me to change that? ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 23:52, 18 May 2016 (CEST)
- I know there are different headings for this now, and I want the only one provided by the tool to exist. I am not quite sure what exactly it is though. --Antillar (talk) 16:47, 19 May 2016 (CEST)

Quick note on what MineBot has done or is doing currently:
- Updating any link to any disambiguated Thaumcraft 4 or Thaumic Tinkerer 2 link to it's disambiguated form in articles for Thaumcraft 4, Thaumic Tinkerer 2, Forbidden Magic and Thaumic Exploration.
- Updating any uses of disambiguated items in grid templates for Thaumcraft 4 or Thaumic Tinkerer 2 items to it's disambiguated form in articles for Thaumcraft 4, Thaumic Tinkerer 2, Forbidden Magic and Thaumic Exploration.
- Updating any link to any disambiguated Thaumcraft 3 or Thaumic Tinkerer 1 link to it's disambiguated form in articles for Thaumcraft 3 and Thaumic Tinkerer 1.
- Exceptions apply for links that are renamed to something other than the name of the item (which I doubt occurs anywhere). E.g.: thaumcraft book
- Also updates disambiguated links that link to the old disambiguations. E.g.: Thaumonomicon or Thaumonomicon
- Updating any uses of disambiguated items in grid templates for Thaumcraft 3 or Thaumic Tinkerer 1 items to it's disambiguated form in articles for Thaumcraft 3 and Thaumic Tinkerer 1.
- Inserting the correct name field into the infobox of any disambiguated item that ends with (Item), (Block), (Fluid), (Liquid) or (MODNAME).
- Some minor writing style consistency updates
~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 13:34, 19 May 2016 (CEST) You can see an example of these changes here or here. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 14:41, 19 May 2016 (CEST)
- Well, that is probably the best outcome possible. Definitely saved many hours of tedious checking work for me. I am worried about the future pages though, mainly addons. Will they be auto-corrected when I write them or I have to keep every disambigged item in mind? --Antillar (talk) 16:47, 19 May 2016 (CEST)
- The rules will stay in MineBot, so next time I run it, it'll get autoupdated, I'm working on a system to have it run 24/7, so it updates changed articles after an hour or so, but the items that are disambiguated are hardcoded into it, so if you add additional disambiguations, they won't be updated unless I update MineBot. If you want to do that, it's best you send me a message telling me which have to be added. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 17:39, 19 May 2016 (CEST)
- I really hope disambig work is over before I start Thaumcraft 5. But there are definately some items added in more than one addon, f.e. Void metal Block is added by 2 addons. So is Quicksilver Block. But these are a few minor problems I can easily deal with when I will fill in those addons. --Antillar (talk) 19:12, 19 May 2016 (CEST)

Random Questions[edit]
For the mob navbox, is there any full documentation, and if yes, where? I want to use all advantages possible to make it most informative.
Also, I really want to add nice clean images of mobs I am going to do in the infobox, with transparent background and without white outlay XD. What image paramaters (height and width) you recommend? I can also do Image in bigger size, but what do you think will better suit the infobox? Lets say the mobs have the same params as Zombie.
And, another question, how often and when exactly do pages "Refresh"?
--Antillar (talk) 22:26, 16 May 2016 (CEST)
- It's documented on the template page at Mob. As for dimensions, whatever you think works best is fine really. There's no specific guidelines as far as I know. Just keep the size of the infobox down by specifying something like 250px on the image size parameter. As for page refreshing. Technically pages don't refresh. The cache for any page will expire after half a day if I remember correctly. That means that once those 12 hours are over, the next time someone visits the page, it will be regenerated. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 01:17, 17 May 2016 (CEST)
- I have captured most of the mobs from my mod, tomorrow I will edit them and see how they fit the infoboxes. I am planning to write mobs category on Saturday. What is your idea on capturing almost fully transparent Mind Spider? I have spent about an hour trying to find most suitable enviroment, but it is still nearly impossible to see anything even on the best picture. What would you recommend? --Antillar (talk) 22:08, 18 May 2016 (CEST)
- Can't say I have a good idea on that. I can give it a go, but I can't promise it'll work out. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 14:43, 19 May 2016 (CEST)

What is the difference between modname and modname ? --Antillar (talk) 15:00, 6 June 2016 (CEST)
- The template can accept various formats, such as the name without spaces, or any alternative or abbreviation specified in Module:ModNames. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions)
- So, if I always write full name of the mod as it is, there will be no difference and I can use both variants equally? --Antillar (talk) 16:17, 6 June 2016 (CEST)
- Yes, with the exception that we can use ModLink to dynamically update the link on every page it is used on. This has to me knowledge only been done so far to link to Thaumic Tinkerer 1, which was previously Thaumic Tinkerer. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 18:32, 6 June 2016 (CEST)

What can be done to List of Aspects (Thaumcraft 4.2) page for the navbox to become visible there? --Antillar (talk) 18:34, 10 June 2016 (CEST)
- Hah, I should've seen that one coming... Well either the page has to be smaller or the navbox has to be smaller. The problem is that the template on a page are only allowed to generate a fixed number of characters, to prevent the system from overloading. It seems this page has exceeded that amount, which is why the last template there, the navbox, does not generate. I'll see if I can cut down on either the characters output by some of the templates there or something... I dunno. I'll fix it eventually :) ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 22:13, 10 June 2016 (CEST)
- Well, if there is only one page exceeding this amount, why not to enlarge the amount? This is better than removing some content from the page. And should be relatively easy to do. --Antillar (talk) 15:40, 11 June 2016 (CEST)
- At peak loads it could make a big different for the server. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 15:48, 11 June 2016 (CEST)

Password Reset not working[edit]
I'm trying to recover my account password, as I have forgotten it because it's been a while. Unfortunately, this wiki doesn't allow password resets. Texture Requests from Antillar[edit]
Creating this category for all textures I need currently. I will organise them in a wikitable so it is easier to keep track of. I will remove countless texture requests from anywhere else on this page. You can remove the lines of the wikitable once the requested texture is done. I do not insist on you doing this instantly, just please dont wait untill this wikitable grows like 500 lines :D Block aminations excluded since this is yet impossible to do. I will add new lines to the wikitable as soon as I have new requests. You can sort the table, this should be easier to find any specific requests or any specific item/mod.
Name | Mod | What exactly needed |
---|---|---|
Magic Croissant | Tainted Magic | Animation |
Croissant of Creation | Tainted Magic | Animation |
Recall Crystal | Tainted Magic | Animation |
Wand Focus: Time | Tainted Magic | Animation |
- I always upload as many aspects as possible. No one is forcing you to set up the loop for all of them though ;) ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 00:27, 31 August 2016 (CEST)
- Well, gonna show off on afternoon stream then :D Hows your exam btw? --Antillar (talk) 00:59, 31 August 2016 (CEST)

I have finished with Thaumcraft 4 and all its addons (over 30). There will be no new Thaumcraft-related texture requests, please fulfill these ones. They are very easy except the Tainted Magic ones. --Antillar (talk) 21:34, 8 September 2016 (CEST)
- I have uploaded an animation for Meteorology, but I honestly have no idea how to capture the remaining ones from Tainted Magic. They are not animated by texturing, they are animated by custom rendering. Even if it were possible to capture them, which it probably isn't. I have serious doubts that they will fit inside of the 256 color limit of GIF frames. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 20:13, 29 September 2016 (CEST)
- The animation for Meteorology is not finished. It is blinking with white background you could have forgotten to remove. Also, I thought that at least Meteorology and Wand Focus: Time had very similar animations. As stated above the table, I do not insist on you doing these animations. I would appreciate more if you uploaded the missing textures for the last 3 requests. With the animations, there is at least some texture there, always better than no texture at all. 22:17, 30 September 2016 (CEST)
- The weather focus animation is fine, the problem is that the software the server uses to resize it to 16px messed up. I'm not entirely sure how to fix that... The Thaumic Generator is a multiblock, I'll try, but it's unlikely I can capture that, the other I've done were exceptions, generally I can't do that. I'll get around to the remaining two, the Magic Cookie poses a bit of a technical challenge, for which I have to write some additional code. The Enhanced Fortress Cuirass I was about to do earlier, but I had to leave for a meeting. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 23:42, 30 September 2016 (CEST)
- It's all been taken care of, except for those remaining animations for Tainted Magic of course. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 13:33, 1 October 2016 (CEST)

Also, I see you have finally made your software to capture block animations. Should I flood the table above with animation requests on blocks? 22:22, 30 September 2016 (CEST)
- They are/were experiments. Though yes, my software is now capable of doing this, but it has serious limitations. It only works for texture animations, so not for things like Arcane Bellows. Blocks also pose a serious issue with the GIF format, as you can only store 256 colors per frame. With the shading and lighting applied to blocks, this is quickly exceeded, causing artifacts to show up in the animations. For some blocks it's not that noticeable, like for the ones I've uploaded, but for others it's a big problem. I'm currently looking into alternatives to use instead of GIF images. I can upload a few more I've made, but I can not guarantee I can provide animations for specific blocks. I believe I made a decent one for the Thaumic Tinkerer Bedrock Portal for example. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 23:42, 30 September 2016 (CEST)
I have made a little of disambiguation stuff for metals on the 18-h marathon livestream, and it happens that not all of the useful textures are present. You can see the 28 metals I disambigged in the tiny navbox on top of the edits in Recent. Some of them are very useful for the wiki. Please, upload them soon, they are necessary for some pages now. 04:56, 1 January 2017 (CET)
Would like to point out the pages Copper Ingot, Bronze Ingot, Silver Ingot, Lead Ingot and Steel Ingot. They miss a bit more than others.
And yes, I do know about ore dictionary recipes. Disambiguation must be done because not all the mods support it. F.e. Silver from RP2 doesn't and there used to be difference between this one and TF one before. 05:02, 1 January 2017 (CET)
And Happy New Year 05:11, 1 January 2017 (CET)
- A lot of those images are missing because up to now, people have been merging ingots from different mods into single pages. though I'm personally not entirely in favor of that system, there's currently not really a good alternative. My personal approach would be to create a generic ore dictionary page and then a page for each separate mod, but this proposal has been rejected by the staff int he past. I will try to upload more of those images as soon as I can. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 21:24, 1 January 2017 (CET)
- Hahah that's absolutely it. We're talking about it on a NY stream. We think that anything in OD must have a page that will contain basic information and links to mods that have these items. Also my personal idea was about recipes, so in mod's own pages there are only recipes from that mod, and on OD page there was any other. ~~ WDA (Talk | Contributions) 14:34, 2 January 2017 (CET)
- Moving recipes out of the pages would be confusing in my opinion, if there's no ore dictionary page. We still want to keep it convenient, so users can find the information they want with little effort. (On a sidenote, please don't update your signature everywhere... I have to go through a massive changelog to make sure you didn't reply to anything else. Generally you don't change old comments unless there's a very good reason.) ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 16:19, 4 January 2017 (CET)

NU TEXTURE REQUIRED[edit]
I will write texture-requirements there and then delete things that already done or you can also do it yourself, ok?
~~ WDA (Talk | Contributions) 13:07, 23 July 2016 (CEST)
- Technically, talk pages shouldn't have anything removed at all. That's just something Antillar introduced. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 13:10, 23 July 2016 (CEST)
- Okay. So, maybe not 'delete things', but mark things completed? But if it's better to leave them as they are, its okay and I agree with that.
~~ WDA (Talk | Contributions) 14:04, 23 July 2016 (CEST)- Fine to me either way. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 14:13, 23 July 2016 (CEST)

I'm not sure what texture you think Light Engineering Block should have, the only one I have right now is from Immersive Engineering. As for Manasteel Nugget, there is already . I am disambiguating now. On another note, I am unable to provide animations for block images at this time. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 18:27, 27 July 2016 (CEST)
- On another note, the Tiny Potato does not have a face because it does not have a face in the inventory. The images captured for the site are always based on how they look in the inventory. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 14:01, 28 July 2016 (CEST)

Every colored Frozen Star image was in fact already present. You have to create a redirect for them. I have done this now. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 13:08, 5 August 2016 (CEST)
Now, I'll write requirements separately, ok? ~~ WDA (Talk | Contributions) 20:40, 18 August 2016 (CEST)
IC2-Thaum4 bug[edit]
I see you have uploaded textures for remaining addons, that's really nice. One of the addons is Electro-Magic Tools I had problems with. IC2 (its core) and Thaum4 have potion conflict on ID 24 which I couldnt solve (well, I could but did not want to do hardcore code-digging). What version of IC2 do you have? I believe it is a version-specific bug. --Antillar (talk) 22:27, 25 July 2016 (CEST)
- One of the other thaumcraft addons isn't compatible with IC2. I just removed addons until it worked, I'm not sure which of them was the issue though... ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 22:31, 25 July 2016 (CEST)
Infusion Textures for Thaumic Horizons[edit]
If you look in the Thaumonomicon, the entries which are related to infusions, have a special item as a catalyst of the recipe, called by ID "dummy". This "dummy" only shown in NEI as this:
However, there are other variants of this texture showing different mob heads and also player head. I would like you to upload all different ones, then I or you (if you want to) will create a redirect pages from the articles related to different versions of this "dummy" to 2 pages I have in components.
I want the recipes to exactly match the ones shown in Thaumonomicon, so once all textures are present, I will create dublicates with the name of the mob infusions (you can see they are still without textures) and put it all in recipe so the reader can easily understand what is going on (and that concept is far from being easy). --Antillar (talk) 03:29, 26 July 2016 (CEST)
- HAH why not blow up reader's mind and show them TRU POWAH OF TAUMIC HORISONS - chicken from Cow, player from Cow, other infused mobs from Cow, cow from Cow ??? ~~ WDA (Talk | Contributions) 09:34, 26 July 2016 (CEST)

Mod page Images?[edit]
Heyoo! As you know, for now I create pages for Botanical Addons mod. There is ugly "title-image", which I've download from Curseforge. What about more kinda "creative" image with improved quality? Self-maded, but why not? Or maybe original one but also with improved quality?
~~ WDA (Talk | Contributions) 18:13, 27 July 2016 (CEST)
- I have tried to reproduce the logo. Is that ok? ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 18:38, 28 July 2016 (CEST)
- YES! This one is really better! First time I've been thinking about absolutly new logo, you know, if author can't make it... :D but your work are also okay and we are on Wiki, so we must upload default stuff instead of our miracles :D ~~ WDA (Talk | Contributions) 19:50, 28 July 2016 (CEST)
Botanical Addons aspects[edit]
VERY IMPORTANT! Botanical Addons adds new aspect to List of Aspects (Thaumcraft 4.2). Antillar says that it's better to ask YOU about it instead of making it myself. Also, this aspect have animation, that's why I write about it there. ~~ WDA (Talk | Contributions) 12:06, 29 July 2016 (CEST)
- I can't find any aspect images in the mod, or any references to aspects for that matter... Which aspects are they? ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 12:18, 29 July 2016 (CEST)
- It requires both Thaumcraft 4 and Botanical Addons installed. New aspect can be found in Botania and Botanical Addons stuff with colour. I recommend to use Thaumcraft Minus Thaumcraft mod or commands to unlock all aspects. This one looks like flower with animation of colour. I hope you know Thaumcraft NEI Plugin which adds aspects into NEI? I think this is easiest way to find new aspects. ~~ WDA (Talk | Contributions) 12:31, 29 July 2016 (CEST)
- I need to find the aspects in the code, not in the game. So far I haven't unfortunately. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 12:44, 29 July 2016 (CEST)
- I have a few problems with Java/JDK so I don't know how I can help you there. I don't know - why authors of mods really like to put their stuff into other mods, like flowers - in Botania, bees - in Forestry, maybe the reason is ID and stuff with it, but anyway, I can see aspect in Thaumcraft NEI plug-in as any other aspects from TC4-addons. ~~ WDA (Talk | Contributions) 14:13, 29 July 2016 (CEST)

Mana[edit]
I've maded template for Dendric Suffusion from Botanical Addons, but it requires Mana amout shown on it, like in recipes for Mana Infusion from Botania (Example: Mana Diamond). As I say before - I have problems with JDK so I can't look through code of mod and find how much mana can be contained in Dendric Suffuser and how much used in recipes of it. Also, there are some recipes for Thaumcraft 4, not just 3 recipes for items in BA itself

- Do the Primus flowers have the same texture as the regular ones? ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 11:00, 19 August 2016 (CEST)
- Nope, but I am not sure about their "item" version. Block is different ~~ WDA (Talk | Contributions) 13:56, 19 August 2016 (CEST)

Text format in templates[edit]
After the wiki engine update I have noticed that some of the templates which used to have minecraft-type text now have default text type. This looks really ugly and ruins the look of even the most nicely designed articles. I hope you can do something about this. So far I have seen several templates affected by this bug, among them. --Antillar (talk) 15:12, 9 September 2016 (CEST)
- This issue has already been addressed. If you clear your browser cache, it should be fine. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 17:22, 9 September 2016 (CEST)
Merging massive articles[edit]
As I go through Thaumcraft 4 pages, an idea came to my mind to merge List of Aspects (Thaumcraft 4.1) and List of Aspects (Thaumcraft 4.2) under List of Aspects (Thaumcraft 4). The 4.1 version is the one how 4.2 used to look like before I came to the wiki. It is much smaller in size and much less informative. And the thing is that it was useful only for a short period of time (2 months I believe) before Thaumcraft 4.2 came out. And that version is used by everyone for almost 2 years now. So I plan to delete 4.1, move 4.2 to 4 and add some info on 4 how it used to be in 4.1. I could have done all this without letting you know, but what I want is your opinion on this. --Antillar (talk) 23:50, 9 September 2016 (CEST)
- If you feel that's the way to go, I'll support it :) ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 02:49, 10 September 2016 (CEST)
Preferences page broken[edit]
From WDA's words, I knew that signature is broken, but I didn't think the problem to be that complex. Not only the signature is broken (I can insert text there still by hardcoding it into HTML), but it won't be saved anyway just because it is not registered as thing at all. Furthermore, the header links to edits, watchlist and so on don't work at all. I cannot also change real name, email and some other features. Hope you do something with it, that is a critical problem for new users who cannot even setup the profile correctly while this remains. --Antillar (talk) 23:25, 11 September 2016 (CEST)
- Yes, I am aware of the issue, but it is proving to be hard to fix, but it also not very important. You can access an hidden settings by disabling JavaScript and email/realname settings are copied from the forums, if you change them, they will get overwritten when you log back in, so that's irrelevant. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 00:15, 12 September 2016 (CEST)
- The issue of the signature box and the tabs on the preferences page are two different things, but I have tracked down the problem for both. I have yet to find a solution though, but I'm quite busy at the moment. I will attempt to get it fixed as soon as I can. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 09:02, 12 September 2016 (CEST)
Concepts?[edit]
I noticed that on the Railcraft modnav template there was a section called "concepts" that basically contains advanced setups. Is that fine to do? Because I know a lot of a concepts in relation to almost all the big mods and would be able to contribute a good amount of that info onto the wiki. Just wanted to know if it's fine to create pages like that because I'm a bit unsure as I've only seem it exist in the Railcraft modnav template so far. ~~ Quick Minecraft Tutorials (talk) 04:49, 10 November 2016 (CET)
- Sure, if you think you can provide useful information about the mod, feel free. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 19:31, 10 November 2016 (CET)
- Cool beans. I'll see what I can do. :P Thanks for answering. ~~ Quick Minecraft Tutorials (Talk|Contributions) 21:40, 10 November 2016 (CET)
Probably time for some more work[edit]
Here is the guide for you to get 36k points and for me to get 4k points:
- You automatically disambiguate ALL pages from GT navbox to the PAGENAME (GregTech 4), move both textures and create a disambiguation page for each thing from GT. Reason: most of the content of GT5 exists in GT4, there are about 10 exceptions which can be reverted in several clicks when I figure out which exactly.
- You upload all textures for GT5. None of which requires animation. So the table above won't grow. Some items are textured via code, f.e. pickaxe head, I don't really need those, I will just add a dozen of parameters to the end of each page of the material they can be created from and then make one page with ask. There could be a problem with nbt-data dependent textures though, but I'm sure you can figure out what to do with them.
- I make either 2 or 3 navboxes for GT5 once the previous things are done.
- I make roughly 30 new grid templates, which you have to add to the tool so I don't have to create all these manually.
- Num7 - Ctrl+V time.
This will probably be a half-year-long work, so no need to rush it anyway, I will start after you finish your part, but this is not the reason for you to hurry. Do it whenever you want. 13:44, 11 November 2016 (CET)
- So you feel that the differences between the old GT and the new one are sufficient to justify full disambiguation? ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 16:08, 11 November 2016 (CET)
- One point is that the recipes in GT5 have changed a lot after GT4. The other point is the support of more items from other mods, which also requires disambiguation. I am going to use ore dictionary recipes a lot. GT4 does not support it. The third is that the current version is nicely documented, and it can be useful for the players still playing such modpacks as TPPI or Unhinged which have GT4 in it. Finally, there is going to be GT6 which is again totally different from GT5 and will require additional disambiguation.
- And just to note. I am not doing GT6, I am doing GT5. It is nice that you upload textures for GT6, but they will probably have no usage for over a year. GT6 is a full rewrite of GT and therefore is still not even close to being finished, and this is why it is unplayable and not worth documenting. 20:33, 11 November 2016 (CET)
- Oh I thought it was GT6, didn't pay attention... Aw :( *starts over* ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 20:50, 11 November 2016 (CET)

Halp! Include size exceeded[edit]
I have done GT5 navbox, but it seems a bit too big so it doesn't want to link to pages. What should I do? 20:37, 13 November 2016 (CET)
- Only viable solution at the moment is to somehow make it smaller. We had this problem with GregTech 4 as well. I may have a technical solution to the problem, but it's unlikely I'll be able to implement it any time soon. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 22:08, 13 November 2016 (CET)
- I can try to exclude machine tiers from it to make it smaller. I am going to do separate pages for each machine tier anyway, so I can create a special fuction which assembles smth like additional navbox for remaining tiers. I will also keep the big template just because otherwise I will not be able to track what is not done yet. 08:54, 14 November 2016 (CET)
