Usage[edit]

Hey, for the Usage section of the pages you make, you should consider using the {{Usage}} template. It uses SemanticMediaWiki to automatically generate links to the items which requires the current item to be crafted. For example, look at Stick. I tied a lot of Grid templates including the Worktable one into it yesterday, so it should work fine for most RotaryCraft recipes as far as I know. It's possible the links don't immediately show up, you can fix that by refreshing the page where the recipe is defined or just leave it. I performance maintenance on the wiki every now and then which automatically rebuilds all of the data. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 01:23, 5 May 2015 (CEST)

Thanks for the tip, I did not know about this. SirPersonJr (talk) 01:26, 5 May 2015 (CEST)

Little bit of help[edit]

It's not showing because of <includeonly> tag. It hides the content so it can't be seen at the template's page itself, but on the other hand pages on which template is included will show only the content of that tag. --Ginpachi987 (talk) 10:36, 15 June 2015 (CEST)

Fusion reactor tutorial[edit]

Hey, I was wondering if it might not be better to create a sandbox subpage to write up that fusion reactor tutorial? I mean, there's nothing wrong with doing it there, but it seemed a bit strange to me :p ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 22:56, 2 September 2015 (CEST)

Name Change[edit]

I found (the hard way) that moving, deleting or updating pages of a mod items' that undergo a name change is not recommended (in most cases), due to the fact that it most likely messes up the SMW (mentioned by RZR0 above) and that may confuse Users that still use the older version. It seems to be best to create a page for the new named Item and leave the old one intact. In the case when only the name has changed and none of the mechanics, moving the page with a (formely known has ...) may be ok.--JC the Techie (talk) 18:42, 11 October 2015 (CEST)

If just the name changes, the page has to be moved. No question about it. But it's recommended you do update links to the page after the move. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 20:14, 11 October 2015 (CEST)
The machine had its name changed and more functionality added to it. The texture stayed the same. Its page, grid and item images, and place in navbox have been updated, and a redirect has been created if anyone searches for the older name. No other pages reference the old name, so we're good there. Also on the Centrifugal Fluid Extractor page there is a note saying is used to be called Heavy Water Extractor before the new functions were added. --SirPersonJr (talk) 00:15, 12 October 2015 (CEST)
Sounds perfect to me. ~~ RZR0 (Talk | Contributions) 01:06, 12 October 2015 (CEST)
