The Slimalyzer is a tool added by the OpenBlocks mod. It serves one simple purpose, which is to find Slime chunks. These are chunks of the world where Slimes are able to spawn. The item does not have to be held or even be on the toolbar to function. When placed in the player's inventory, the grey circle on the Slimalyzer will turn green when the player walks over a Slime chunk. The item will also produce a sound when this occurs, which can be heard even when the item is in the inventory, rather than on the toolbar.
