Progressive Automation is a mod that adds simple machines to automate day to day Player actions. The machines are built with easily attainable resources early on in-game and operate from common furnace fuel. The provided tool takes durability damage and must be replaced if it breaks. Most machines also accept upgrades, which are applied when placed inside a machine. These upgrades can be used to increase the area of effect or improve functionality. When the machine is removed, all applied upgrades are dropped on the ground. All machines have four tiers of quality: Wood, Stone, Iron and Diamond to perform the following actions:

• Mine for resources replacing it with Cobblestone.
• Plant and harvest crops.
• Kill entities.
• Auto crafting.
• Breed animals, gather eggs, shear sheep and milk cows.
• Generate energy.
