The Harvester, when supplied with either MJ, EU or RF will harvest crops in front of it in a 3x3 square (the grate-like apparatus shown in the picture). It is typically used with a Planter and will output the collected items in a chest, pipe or other item container on the connected side. The Harvester also produces sludge at 10mB for each operation which can be piped into a Sludge Boiler and is stored in an internal tank that can hold 4000 mB. Held Sludge slows the harvest speed. When the sludge tank is full the Harvester ceases to function. The sludge will be automatically pumped out of the harvester to every fluid pipe.
The range can be extended to match the size of your farm. Just make sure your harvester is on the same axis as your planter and both devices have the same tier of Range Extender Upgrade and the farm will work perfectly.
The Harvester requires an adjacent inventory to function. Applied Energistic's ME Import Bus is not recognised as such, use an ME Interface instead.
Moreover the Harvester has additional configuration options in its GUI to allow the harvesting of blocks of leaves, small mushrooms and jungle wood (option for Cocoa Beans). It uses 60 EU or 240 RF per action.
Caution: The Harvester can affect the blocks used to build the player's house.
